I have a habit to turn on the Bible to read to me while I’m getting ready for work in the morning. Sometimes I don’t really pay attention to it other days I’m constantly bombarded by verses that knock my socks off. The other day was one of those days where I was just listening out of habit until I heard this verse;
““Thus says the Lord: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, and no peace. Ask now, and see, can a man bear a child? Why then do I see every man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor? Why has every face turned pale? Alas! That day is so great there is none like it; it is a time of distress for Jacob; yet he shall be saved out of it.”Jeremiah 30:5-7
Now to say I had to stop and rewind what I just heard is an understatement. I just about swerved off the road. I couldn’t unlock my phone fast enough. I always thought the Bible had vague references to gender confusion but this one takes the cake. I have read the verse in Deuteronomy about crossdressing,
‘“A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God. ‘Deuteronomy 22:5
Or the verse in 1 Corinthians about appropriate hair length,
‘Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. ‘1 Corinthians 11:14-15
Then of course there are the many verses pertaining to abandoning the natural way of things and pursuing sinful desires like in Romans 1
‘Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. ‘Romans 1:24-27
Which is obviously talking about homosexuality. But I had never found a verse pertaining specifically to Gender Ideology until I found this one. The coolest part about this verse is that it speaks plain facts and calls out the ridiculous notion that a man, in fact, cannot bear children. And it is ridiculous to think it would even be a possibility.
So long story short, you better believe I highlighted this verse and am keeping it forevermore. This was a golden nugget of information found in an unsuspecting moment. I guess my advice to you is this; read your bible daily-you never know what you might stumble upon.
